TAG key-fobs are used to control access by entry-phones, video-phones, estate gates or any other points of entry controlled by a MIFARE reader.
This security system is more and more found at big housing developments and Universities where they perform permitted access role for entry to parking areas, walkways or waste storage areas.
The Mifare TAG key-fob is fitted inside with a coil which has a unique code. The D5 adapter allows you to clone that code onto a virgin TAG which is set to work only on the 13.56 MHz frequency.
In many cities the TAG is being used to pay for bus and Metrofares. In Scotland the system is used for National Entitlement Cards. Manchester City F.C. issues stadium access passes in this way,. Oxford and Cambridge Universities issue multi-application campus cards. London Transport Oyster cards are validated by an advanced MIFARE protocol and so on.
